I build AI applications and deploy them in the real world

2024 - Present

AI Startup Founder (EF-backed)

After returning to London, I met Alex Smirnov through Entrepreneur First. We're working on an AI education company together, having built and shut down three projects:

Simtown.ai

Inspired by Stanford's generative agents research and the conversational capabilities of Character.ai, we created an interactive world where AI-powered characters live out their daily lives. These characters can perform various actions (voting, conversing, giving speeches) in pursuit of their goals. Users can immerse themselves in scenarios like the Harry Potter universe or simulate the 2024 election with characters including Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, and Pennsylvania voters.

BlueSight.ai

We developed an AI system that analyzes satellite imagery using natural language queries. Our San Francisco demo lets users ask questions like "find all rooftop solar panels" or "which district have the highest number of Tesla vehicles" and get precise visual results.

Laika

While humanoid robots remain years away from being safe and affordable companions, we adapted a Unitree robotic dog to assist with household tasks like collecting dishes and handling laundry.

2023

Buzzarek.com Founder

After X, I continued working in the food supply chain sector. Recognizing the slow adoption of technology among growers, I initiated change from the consumer side by launching Buzzarek.com in my hometown of Poznan, Poland.

The business grew to serve over 200 weekly customers through an app and WhatsApp Business account, with more than 40 fresh produce suppliers. After six months of successful operations, I made the decision to return to AI and move out of Poland.

2019 - 2023

Google X

Following my graduation from Imperial College London, I joined Google X as an ML resident. I quickly proposed and led an AI in Agriculture project, building a team of 10 to deploy AI models across farms in the US.

AI for Pests and Diseases [Project Lead] 2021-2023

We leveraged large-scale geospatial data (weather and satellite) with predictive models for pest detection and disease prevention in crops. Our algorithms achieved an 80% improvement over state-of-the-art predictions for almond pests. Through a partnership with Astanor Ventures, we deployed these models across corporate farms throughout the US.

Pollination Project [Project Lead] 2020

Addressing worldwide pollination capacity decline, I led a project developing AI to monitor and enhance pollination efficiency. We partnered with The Wonderful Company in Southern California, focusing on honeybees. Though we later pivoted to other agricultural challenges, this work developed my understanding of the US agricultural sector and helped me build a network of contacts in the industry.

AI Resident Summer 2019

Leveraging my master's thesis in AI and environmental science, I worked on applying AI to quantify natural disaster risks.

2015 - 2019

Imperial College London

I completed my MEng in Computing with a focus on AI. During my studies, I gained practical experience through fintech internships in London and freelance mobile/web development projects.
